The Ford Racing 11in Pressure Plate Bolt and Dowel Kit (M-6397-B46) provides the essential hardware required to securely attach a clutch pressure plate to the flywheel. This kit is a critical component for high-performance manual transmission setups where precise alignment and structural rigidity are paramount.
The three included dowel pins are necessary to align and stiffen the pressure plate shell. By reducing deflection, these dowels effectively prevent clutch chatter and ensure a smooth, consistent pedal feel. To complete the installation, the kit includes six 8mm bolts featuring integral lockwashers designed to maintain torque and resist loosening under high-stress conditions.
