The aFe POWER Momentum HD Cold Air Intake System is engineered to maximize airflow and filtration for the 3.0L Duramax. This system features a smooth, one-piece sealed housing constructed from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), which effectively resists heat soak. The design includes a patented filter-to-housing interface (US PAT 9440175) that minimizes component count for a direct, bolt-on installation. A large, clear sight window is integrated into the housing for quick, hassle-free filter inspections without disassembly.

At the core of this system is the Pro 10R filter, a 9-inch tall 360-degree radial flow air filter with a 5.5-inch flange. This filter utilizes ten layers of progressively finer cotton gauze media, providing maximum dust-holding capacity and superior filtration for off-road and heavy-duty environments. The inverted top and large surface area significantly extend service intervals, while the reinforced metal structure prevents filter collapse under high-vacuum conditions.
