The aFe Power Momentum HD Cold Air Intake System is engineered to optimize airflow and protection for the 3.0L Duramax diesel engine. This system features a sealed one-piece housing constructed from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) to protect the intake charge from engine bay heat soak. The design includes a patented filter-to-housing interface (US PAT 9440175) that simplifies installation while maximizing filter size. A large, clear sight window allows for quick visual inspection of the air filter without disassembling the housing or intake tube.

This system utilizes the oil-free Pro DRY S air filter, featuring three layers of progressive synthetic media for high filtration efficiency and dust-holding capacity during street use. The 9-inch tall filter is designed with a 360-degree radial flow and an inverted top for maximum surface area and extended service intervals. The housing incorporates factory air scoop inlets and an optional auxiliary air inlet to pull in additional air for high-demand situations.
