The aFe Power Momentum GT intake system is engineered to optimize airflow and heat resistance for the BMW B58 engine. This system features a sealed, one-piece housing made from cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), which resists heat soak and protects the intake charge from engine bay temperatures. A large, clear sight window allows for quick filter inspections without tools or disassembly.
At the core of this system is the Pro 5R performance air filter. This 6-1/2 inch tall, 360-degree radial flow filter uses five layers of progressively finer cotton gauze media treated with high-performance oil to provide maximum airflow for street and track applications. The patent-pending filter-to-housing interface reduces the total part count and simplifies installation by utilizing factory mounting points. The dyno-tuned XLPE intake tube is computer-designed to maintain precise fitment while improving volumetric efficiency.
