Designed around a massive 8-inch tall, 360-degree radial flow air filter, this system utilizes the patented filter-to-housing interface to minimize parts and simplify installation. The filter features five layers of pre-oiled, progressively finer cotton gauze media (Pro 5R) for maximum airflow and filtration efficiency. The smooth, one-piece sealed housing is rotomolded from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) to protect intake air from engine bay heat soak while drawing fresh air from both the factory inlet and the fender opening.
This system is specifically tailored for the TRD Pro submodel, featuring distinctive red silicone flexible parts and high-quality stainless-steel clamps for a secure, durable seal. A clear sight window allows for quick filter inspections without requiring any disassembly. For Tacoma owners looking for even more direct airflow, this system is compatible with optional Dynamic Air Scoops (sold separately).
