Dinan Cold Air Intake for Select 2020-2026 BMW M240i, M340i, and M440i (D760-0069)

Fits select 2020-2026 BMW M240i, M340i, M440i, and Gran Coupe models including xDrive variants. This Dinan cold air intake system replaces the restrictive factory airbox with a high-volume solution designed to maximize airflow without increasing intake temperatures.

Engineering for the G2x and G42 chassis focused on maximizing engine bay real estate. Dinan reworked the entire lower airbox, increasing its volume by 60% compared to stock. This enlarged housing accommodates a custom 115 in² free-flow filter—a 40% increase over the factory 82 in² unit. To ensure the filter receives sufficient air, Dinan integrated a secondary inlet with patterned openings on the cool side of the box. Rigorous testing across various conditions, from steady-state cruising to 0-100 mph runs, confirmed this secondary inlet provides additional volume without increasing turbo inlet temperatures.

Constructed from high-heat deflection PEX, the system maintains an OEM-plus appearance while resisting heat soak. It is fully compatible with or without factory engine bay bracing and installs quickly using factory mounting points.
