Skunk2 Alpha Series Connecting Rods are engineered for high-performance builds requiring the ultimate strength-to-weight ratio. Forged from select 4340 chromoly steel, these H-beam rods utilize a two-piece forging process that optimizes grain orientation along the rod cap, significantly increasing resistance to stress. To ensure maximum durability in high-RPM and high-boost environments, each rod undergoes extensive heat-treating, tempering, shot-peening, and magna-flux inspection to verify structural integrity.

Developed over three years using Finite Element Analysis (FEA), the Alpha Series design features a straight beam configuration that distributes stress across a wider area compared to traditional tapered rods. The pin ends include dual offset oil passages to deliver consistent lubrication and cooling around the entire wrist pin throughout the engine cycle. These rods are balanced to within +/- 1 gram and come equipped with premium 3/8-inch ARP2000/Skunk2 hardware.
