Skunk2 Alpha Series Connecting Rods are engineered for high-horsepower builds where reliability is non-negotiable. Forged from select 4340 chromoly steel, these rods utilize a straight H-beam design to achieve an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. To ensure maximum durability, every rod undergoes a rigorous manufacturing process including comprehensive heat-treating, tempering, and shot-peening for significantly reduced fatigue. Each unit is FEA analyzed and magna-fluxed to verify structural integrity before leaving the factory.
These Alpha Series rods feature dual-pin oil passages at the big end for improved lubrication and are equipped with bronze wrist pin bushings. They come ready for high-stress applications with 3/8-inch ARP2000/Skunk2 rod bolts and are balanced to within +/- 1 gram to ensure smooth engine operation at high RPM.
