The factory primary degas tank on the 2011-2019 Ford Super Duty is a known failure point. Constructed from plastic, the original equipment (OE) tank becomes brittle over time due to constant heat cycles, leading to hairline cracks and coolant leaks. The Mishimoto MMRT-F2D-11PN aluminum degas tank provides a permanent solution by replacing the plastic unit with a durable, fully-welded aluminum component.
This tank is precision-engineered with TIG-welded seams for maximum strength under pressure. To simplify maintenance, Mishimoto integrated a sight glass into the side of the tank, allowing for instant coolant level checks without having to open the system. This tank is finished in a natural aluminum and is designed to endure the high-stress environment of a hard-working 6.7L Powerstroke engine.
