The Fluidampr 551211 performance damper is a critical upgrade for high-performance 2.0T FSI engines. Unlike stock rubber balancers that can degrade or fail under increased load, this viscous damper provides superior control over torsional vibrations across the entire RPM range. By reducing harmonic stress on the crankshaft and internal components, it helps prevent premature wear and catastrophic failure while stabilizing timing to help recover lost horsepower and torque.
Precision CNC machined from high-grade steel, the unit features a corrosion-resistant black zinc finish and permanent engraved timing marks. This damper is internally balanced and designed specifically for 2.0L FSI engines utilizing a 6-bolt hole mounting pattern. Because it uses a viscous fluid design rather than rubber, it requires no maintenance, tuning, or rebuilding over its lifespan.
