The Yukon Gear & Axle Pinion Crush Sleeve (YSPCS-018) is an essential component for differential rebuilds and gear installations. Designed to set and maintain the correct pinion bearing preload, this sleeve collapses under a specific torque value during installation to ensure the pinion bearings are held in proper tension. As a one-time-use component, replacing the crush sleeve is mandatory whenever the pinion nut is removed or the differential is serviced to prevent bearing failure or excessive gear noise.
- Manufactured to precise tolerances for consistent collapse rates
- Critical for establishing accurate pinion bearing preload
