The Eaton Detroit Truetrac is a helical-gear style, limited-slip differential (LSD) designed to maximize wheel traction without the maintenance requirements of traditional clutch-style units. Its sophisticated gear-driven design automatically transfers torque to the wheel with the most grip, providing smooth and quiet operation during both forward and reverse maneuvers. Because it uses no clutches or friction plates, the Truetrac is essentially maintenance-free and does not require special lubrication or friction modifiers.
