Fits 1989-2002 Dodge Ram pickups equipped with the 5.9L Cummins diesel engine.
Protect your engine from a known catastrophic failure point with the Industrial Injection Killer Dowel Pin (KDP) Repair Kit. In many 12-valve and early 24-valve Cummins engines, the steel dowel pin used to align the timing gear housing can vibrate loose. If this pin falls into the gear train, it can result in destroyed timing gears, a cracked gear case, or total engine failure.
This kit (MPN 249B01) provides a permanent, mechanical solution by using a precision-stamped retainer tab to lock the dowel pin in its bore. It installs using factory mounting points to ensure the pin never migrates out of the housing.
- Prevents catastrophic timing gear and engine block damage
- Includes custom-formed steel retainer tab and mounting bolt
