This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) exhaust gasket is engineered to provide a superior seal for BMW inline-six engines, even on irregular or less-than-perfect mating surfaces. Constructed from three to five layers of high-grade stainless steel, this gasket offers exceptional strength, corrosion resistance, and the ability to rebound under thermal expansion cycles better than standard composite gaskets.
The outer layers feature embossed sealing beads coated on both sides with a specialized Viton rubber material. This coating is designed to meet the demands of high-performance exhaust environments, maintaining a reliable seal at temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).
