The Banks Power MAP Sensor Spacer Kit is engineered to resolve a common issue on the 6.7L Cummins: soot-clogged sensors. In the factory configuration, the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor is positioned directly in the path of carbon-heavy intake air, leading to rapid buildup that can cause inaccurate boost readings, erratic engine performance, and frequent check engine lights.
This kit relocates the sensor out of the direct soot stream while maintaining a perfect seal and precise pressure measurement. By moving the sensor away from the primary carbon path, you ensure the ECU receives clean, accurate data for better fueling and turbocharger response.
