The Action Clutch Chromoly Lightweight Flywheel (AC131FW) is engineered to reduce rotational mass for significantly improved engine response and faster revving. This flywheel is designed for street and race applications where durability and thermal capacity are critical. Manufactured from high-grade chromoly and subjected to a specialized heat treatment process, these units are built to withstand the rigors of high-performance driving.
Action Clutch flywheels are tested to a maximum of 18,000 RPM to ensure structural integrity under extreme centrifugal forces. Because these flywheels are resurfacable, they offer a longer service life compared to non-serviceable alternatives. Note that the reduction in mass may introduce slight increases in noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) compared to the heavier factory dual-mass or cast units.
