Engineered for the 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), the Clutch Masters aluminum flywheel replaces the heavy factory dual-mass unit to significantly reduce rotating mass. By minimizing inertia, this flywheel allows for quicker engine revs, faster shifts, and reduced turbo lag. To address the vulnerability of DCT clutch baskets—which are prone to cracking when paired with rigid, non-dampened flywheels—Clutch Masters integrated their proven sprung hub technology directly into the hub. This design provides essential dampening for harsh vibrations and high-RPM shifts without sacrificing the responsiveness of a lightweight aluminum component.
- Replaceable Friction Surface: Features a replaceable steel insert, allowing for easy servicing without the need to resurface the entire flywheel.
- Precision Engineering: CNC machined and precision balanced to ensure smooth operation at high engine speeds.
