Clutch Masters 3M Flywheel Friction Lock (FFL) for Select Acura & Honda 1990-2021

Fits select 1990-2021 Acura and Honda models, including Integra, NSX, RSX, TL, Civic, Accord, Prelude, and S2000. This Flywheel Friction Lock (FFL) solves a critical failure point in high-performance applications: the risk of the flywheel loosening during high-torque operation.

Developed in partnership with 3M, this friction shim technology uses a nickel-coated steel substrate with partially embedded diamond particles. When clamped between the crankshaft and the flywheel, these diamonds bite into both surfaces, significantly increasing the coefficient of friction. This mechanical bond allows the assembly to handle up to 5× higher shear forces and transmit up to 5× higher torque without the risk of fretting or welding, which can otherwise destroy the crankshaft.
