The Exedy FF501A Lightweight Flywheel is engineered to reduce rotational inertia, delivering significantly faster engine response and improved acceleration for high-performance Subaru applications. Designed for drag racing, autocross, rally, and spirited street use, these flywheels provide the high thermal capacity needed to handle extreme driving conditions without the risk of ring gear separation.
Unlike aluminum flywheels where the ring gear is pressed onto the body, Exedy flywheels are manufactured from solid one-piece billet chromoly steel or chromoly steel forgings. This design integrates the ring gear teeth directly into the flywheel, ensuring structural integrity even under the expansion coefficients of high-heat environments. The specialized design also promotes enhanced airflow to keep your clutch assembly cool and performing consistently.
