The Fidanza aluminum flywheel (MPN 199991) is engineered to significantly reduce rotational mass and free up horsepower in the Porsche 911 SC. By replacing the heavy factory unit with a billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum body, this flywheel is 40-60% lighter than stock. This drastic reduction in the Moment of Inertia (MOI) allows the engine to rev more freely, providing immediate throttle response and faster acceleration through the gears.
Built for the rigors of high-performance driving, the assembly features a replaceable 1050 steel friction plate, allowing for easy servicing without replacing the entire flywheel. The hardened steel ring gear and military-spec fasteners provide the strength and reliability required for both street and track applications. Please note that this specific flywheel requires the use of Porsche Bearing #901-102-025-01. Always confirm your specific bolt pattern (18 vs 20) for the friction kit before purchase.
