Fits 1983-1988 Porsche 924 S and 944 Base (2.5L).
The Fidanza aluminum flywheel is engineered to significantly reduce rotating mass, coming in at 40-60% lighter than the factory unit. By lowering the Moment of Inertia (MOI), this flywheel frees up horsepower and delivers significantly faster throttle response and quicker acceleration. The main body is CNC-machined from high-strength billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum, providing a lightweight yet durable foundation for performance driving.
This flywheel features a replaceable heat-treated friction plate for optimum grip and long service life. When the friction surface eventually wears, it can be unbolted and replaced without requiring a completely new flywheel. For maximum reliability, the assembly uses military-spec fasteners and a hardened 1050 steel ring gear. Note: When selecting a replacement friction kit, confirm whether your specific flywheel uses an 18-bolt or 20-bolt pattern before purchase.
