The Fidanza 143201 Aluminum Flywheel is engineered to reduce rotational mass and lower the moment of inertia (MOI), providing significantly faster throttle response and quicker acceleration. By reducing weight 40-60% compared to heavy factory cast iron units, this flywheel frees up horsepower previously consumed by the drivetrain.
The main body is CNC-machined from high-strength billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum for durability and heat dissipation. A key feature is the bolt-on replaceable friction plate made from 1050 heat-treated steel, allowing for easy clutch service without having to replace the entire flywheel. The unit is finished with a hardened 1050 steel ring gear and military-spec fasteners for maximum structural integrity in high-RPM applications.
