Fits select 1983-1993 Mazda 626, MX-6, B2000, B2200, and Ford Probe models equipped with the 2.2L non-turbo engine.
Designed to reduce rotational mass and improve engine response, the Fidanza 161221 aluminum flywheel is engineered for performance. By reducing the weight of the flywheel by 40-60 percent compared to heavy cast-iron factory units, this component lowers the moment of inertia (MOI), allowing for faster throttle response and improved acceleration. The body is CNC-machined from high-quality billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum to ensure durability and precision balancing.
A standout feature of Fidanza flywheels is the bolt-on replaceable friction plate made from heat-treated steel, which provides optimum grip and long service life. When the friction surface eventually wears, it can be replaced individually without needing to replace the entire flywheel. The assembly is secured with military-spec fasteners for maximum strength and features a hardened 1050 steel ring gear for reliable starter engagement.
