The Fidanza 161001 Aluminum Flywheel is engineered to reduce rotational mass and Moment of Inertia (MOI), significantly improving throttle response and acceleration. By being 40-60% lighter than factory cast iron units, this flywheel frees up horsepower that would otherwise be spent spinning a heavy stock component. Constructed from a high-grade Billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum body, it provides the strength needed for high-performance applications while maintaining excellent heat dissipation.
Durability is handled by a replaceable hardened 1050 steel ring gear and a bolt-on heat-treated friction plate. This design allows for easy servicing; when the friction surface wears, you can replace the plate rather than the entire flywheel. Note: when selecting a replacement friction kit, confirm your specific flywheel's bolt pattern (18 vs 20) before purchase.
