The Fidanza 130581 aluminum flywheel is engineered to reduce rotational mass, delivering significantly faster throttle response and quicker acceleration for your Toyota 2.4L engine. By being 40% to 60% lighter than the factory cast-iron unit, this flywheel lowers the Moment of Inertia (MOI), allowing the engine to transfer power to the drivetrain more efficiently. The main body is CNC-machined from high-grade billet 6061 T6 or 2024 T4 aluminum for maximum strength and heat dissipation.
- Replaceable Friction Plate: Features a heat-treated 1050 steel friction surface secured with military-spec fasteners; can be replaced without replacing the entire flywheel.
- Hardened Ring Gear: Includes a 1050 steel ring gear that is heat-treated for durability and shrink-fitted to the body.
- Stepped Dowels: Precision-located dowels ensure proper alignment and clutch pressure plate balance.
- Lightweight Performance: Substantial weight reduction frees up horsepower and improves engine braking characteristics.
