The Aeromotive Fuel Pump Speed Controller (FPSC) protects your fuel system from vapor lock and cavitation by matching the fuel pump's duty cycle to the engine's RPM. By slowing the pump during low-demand periods, the 16306 significantly reduces fuel heating and suction-side cavitation. When engine demand increases, the controller automatically returns the pump to a 100% duty cycle to ensure maximum flow and performance.
Unlike controllers that reduce voltage—which can damage 12V DC motors—the Aeromotive 16306 utilizes Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). This method manages motor speed safely without compromising the integrity of the pump's electrical components. The unit is built with a solid-state transistor circuit rated for up to 40 amps, allowing it to replace standard relays in high-performance fuel systems.
