The Cometic Street Pro Bottom End Kit (PRO2017B) is engineered for engine builders performing a comprehensive lower-end refresh or rebuild. This kit eliminates the need to source individual seals by providing a complete set of gaskets required for the engine block and rotating assembly. Every component is selected to ensure reliable sealing under the thermal and mechanical stresses common in both street and performance applications.
Cometic utilizes application-specific materials to maintain sealing integrity across different engine surfaces:
- Multi-Layer Steel (MLS): Offers high structural integrity for demanding sealing surfaces.
- Active Flex Materials (AFM): A chemically blown nitrile synthetic rubber bonded to an aluminum core, providing excellent torque retention and sealability.
- Aramid Fiber & Armor Clad: Durable, high-temperature materials designed to withstand the harsh environment of the lower crankcase.
