Red Line 75W85 GL-5 Gear Oil provides superior film strength and thermal stability for high-performance differentials, final drives, and transfer cases. Engineered with extreme-pressure additives, this lubricant satisfies the viscosity requirements of SAE 75W80, 75W, 80W, and 85W, as well as SAE 30 and 10W30 motor oil applications. It is formulated with friction modifiers to ensure proper operation of clutch-type limited-slip differentials (LSDs) without the need for additional additives.
Formerly known as Red Line LightWeight Gear Oil, this synthetic fluid is a popular choice for late-model vehicles from BMW, Dodge, Ford, GM, Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Ram, and Toyota. Its versatility extends to professional motorsport, where it is frequently used in Hewland LD-200 and FTR sequential transaxles. Note: Due to extreme slipperiness, this fluid is not intended for manual transmissions or transaxles equipped with synchronizers, as it may interfere with shift quality.
