Red Line Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil is engineered for extreme racing applications where gear sets are subjected to massive shock loads and high torque. This unique lubricant provides a film thickness greater than a 75W250 grade, yet maintains the low internal fluid friction of a standard 75W90. It acts as a liquid grease, using microscopic solid particles to provide a sacrificial cushion between gear teeth without compromising flow.
- Designed for heavily-loaded racing differentials, transmissions, and problem gearboxes.
- Ideal for Sprint, Midget, and Dirt Late Model quick-change differentials, Detroit Lockers, and spools.
- Proven performance in NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car rear ends.
- Reduces operating temperatures and parasitic drag while preventing metal-to-metal contact.
- Not recommended for most synchronized applications due to extreme slipperiness.
