The Cometic MLS-5 (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gasket is engineered for high-output engines that demand superior sealing performance without the use of additional sealants. Constructed from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this gasket provides exceptional rebound and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are finished with a Viton rubber coating, a fluoroelastomer material capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a reliable seal across a variety of load conditions and surface finishes.
Designed to handle the shearing forces common in aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast iron block configurations, this gasket requires less clamp load, which reduces bore distortion and promotes even load distribution across the sealing surface.
