Fits select 1990-2000 BMW 3-Series and 5-Series models (323i, 325i/is, 328i/is, 525i, and 528i) equipped with M50B25 or M52B28 engines.
This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide a superior seal for high-output BMW engines. Constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, it offers excellent rebound characteristics and resistance to corrosion. The .120-inch thickness is ideal for precision engine builds requiring specific compression ratio adjustments or compensation for surfaced cylinder heads and blocks.
The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This specialized coating ensures a reliable seal across various surface finishes and load conditions without the need for additional sealants. The uncoated stainless steel center shim allows for precise thickness control while maintaining structural integrity under high shearing forces between aluminum heads and cast iron or aluminum blocks.
