The Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gasket is engineered for high-output 6.1L HEMI engines, providing a superior seal without the need for additional sealants. Constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, this gasket is designed to withstand the shearing forces found in high-performance applications, whether mating aluminum heads to iron or aluminum blocks. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a heat-resistant fluoroelastomer that maintains its integrity up to 482°F (250°C), ensuring a reliable seal under extreme load conditions and varying surface finishes.
