This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) right-side head gasket is engineered to handle the thermal and pressure demands of the Ford 5.2L Voodoo Modular V8. It features proprietary HP shim technology designed to increase clamp load specifically around the combustion chamber, ensuring a reliable seal even on open-deck blocks. The gasket construction consists of multiple stainless steel layers; the embossed outer layers are coated with Viton to provide a consistent seal across various surface finishes and load conditions.
By optimizing load distribution across the entire sealing area, this gasket requires less total clamp load, which helps reduce cylinder bore distortion during high-performance operation. The uncoated stainless steel center shim ensures precise thickness and structural integrity.
