This Cometic Gasket Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide superior sealing for high-performance Honda and Acura K-series engine platforms. Featuring an 87.5mm bore, this gasket is designed to withstand the harsh cylinder pressures of modified engines while maintaining a reliable seal against the cylinder head and block deck. The multi-layer construction consists of embossed stainless steel outer layers coated with Viton, a high-temperature synthetic rubber that conforms to varying surface finishes and load conditions.
The stainless steel center shim allows for precise thickness management and provides the necessary structural integrity for high-compression or forced induction applications. By requiring less clamp load than traditional composite gaskets, this MLS design reduces bore distortion for improved piston ring sealing and long-term durability.
