Engineered for high-performance GM Gen-5 LTR Small Block V8 builds, the Cometic MLX (Multi-Layer Xtreme) cylinder head gasket provides the superior sealing required for high-output applications. This LHS (Left Hand Side) gasket features an integrated stopper layer that increases clamp load around the cylinder bore without inducing additional bore distortion, ensuring optimal ring seal and block integrity.
Constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, this gasket is specifically sized for a 4.150-inch bore and is clearanced for oversized 1/2-inch head studs. The MLX design is specifically intended for engines where cylinder head lift or high combustion pressures are a concern, offering better recovery and thermal stability than standard MLS gaskets.
