Fits 1990-2001 Acura Integra GS, LS, RS, and Special Edition models with Honda B18A1 or B18B1 engines.
The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output engines without the need for additional sealants. This gasket is constructed from multiple embossed layers of high-grade stainless steel, which allows it to rebound and resist corrosion while handling the different thermal expansion rates of aluminum heads and cast iron blocks. The stainless steel composition provides increased strength and reduces the clamp load required to seal, effectively minimizing bore distortion.
The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber-based material. This coating is heat resistant up to 250°C (482°F) and is specifically designed to meet the demands of harsh sealing environments and various surface finishes. The center shim layer is uncoated stainless steel, precisely manufactured to maintain the specified operating thickness.
