Fits select 1994-2001 Acura Integra GS-R and Type R, Honda Civic Si, and Honda Civic del Sol (VTEC). This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide the superior sealing performance required by high-output B-series VTEC engines.
Constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, this gasket features outer layers coated with Viton, a heat-resistant fluoroelastomer capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). This multi-layer design allows the gasket to rebound and resist corrosion while managing the shearing forces present in aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast iron engine assemblies. The MLS design requires less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion for more consistent performance across the sealing area.
