The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) Cylinder Head Gasket (C14080-040) is engineered for high-output Honda D-series engines that demand a superior seal under extreme cylinder pressures. This gasket is constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, providing a high degree of rebound and corrosion resistance. The outer layers are coated on both sides with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber designed to withstand temperatures up to 250°C (482°F) and conform to various surface finishes without the need for additional sealants.

Designed to handle the shearing forces created by different thermal expansion rates between aluminum heads and cast iron or aluminum blocks, the Cometic MLS design ensures even load distribution across the sealing area.
