Engineered for high-output applications, the Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gasket provides superior sealing performance for K-series engines without the need for additional sealants. This gasket is constructed from multiple layers of embossed stainless steel, providing the structural integrity and rebound necessary to resist corrosion and withstand the shearing forces common in aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast iron block assemblies.
The outer layers are coated with Viton, a high-performance fluoroelastomer heat-resistant to 250°C (482°F), designed to meet the demands of harsh sealing environments and varied surface finishes. This MLS design conforms load distribution across the sealing area and requires less clamp load, which helps minimize bore distortion during high-torque assembly.
