This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides a superior seal for high-output K-Series engines. Engineered to handle the demanding environments of performance builds, this gasket is comprised of multiple embossed layers of stainless steel. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a fluoroelastomer rubber material that is heat-resistant to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a reliable seal against various surface finishes and load conditions.

The MLS design is specifically effective for aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast iron mating surfaces, as it withstands the shearing forces created by different thermal expansion rates. These gaskets require less clamping load than traditional designs, which helps minimize bore distortion for improved cylinder geometry and ring seal.
