The Cometic C4156-040 Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide superior sealing for high-performance forced induction applications. Built from multiple embossed layers of stainless steel, this gasket is designed to handle the shearing forces between aluminum heads and iron blocks while resisting corrosion. The outer layers are coated with Viton, a high-temperature fluoroelastomer rubber that withstands heat up to 250°C (482°F), ensuring a positive seal across varying surface finishes without the need for additional sealants.
