This Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide the superior combustion sealing required for high-performance Nissan RB20 engines. Whether you are refreshing a naturally aspirated DE or building a high-boost RB20DET, the MLS design handles increased cylinder pressures and thermal expansion more effectively than traditional composite gaskets.
The gasket features embossed outer layers coated in Viton to meet the demands of various harsh sealing environments and surface finishes. A stainless steel center shim provides structural integrity and allows for precise thickness control. This design requires less clamp load than standard gaskets, which helps reduce bore distortion and ensures even load distribution across the entire sealing area.
