Fits 2002-2005 Subaru Impreza WRX with the EJ20GN DOHC 16V Turbo engine.
The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket is engineered to provide maximum sealing performance for high-output Subaru engines. Constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, this gasket offers superior durability and the ability to rebound under extreme cylinder pressures. The stainless steel layers also provide the structural integrity required to withstand the shearing forces common in aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron engine assemblies.
The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on both sides with Viton, a high-performance fluoroelastomer. This coating is heat-resistant up to 250°C (482°F) and is specifically designed to conform to various surface finishes and load conditions, eliminating the need for additional sealants. By distributing the clamp load evenly across the sealing area, this gasket helps reduce bore distortion for improved ring seal and engine longevity.
