The Cometic Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) head gasket provides maximum sealing performance for high-output Subaru EJ25 engines. Constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, this gasket offers superior strength, corrosion resistance, and the ability to rebound under combustion pressure. The outer layers are embossed and finished with a heat-resistant Viton coating (rated to 250°C / 482°F), ensuring a reliable seal across various surface finishes and load conditions.
By utilizing a shim-layer design, Cometic MLS gaskets require less clamp load than traditional designs, which helps minimize bore distortion and promotes even load distribution across the sealing surface. This is a critical upgrade for maintaining head-to-block integrity in both stock and modified applications.
