The ARP 247-4202 Head Stud Kit is a critical upgrade for diesel enthusiasts and professional builders looking to prevent cylinder head lifting and head gasket failure. Unlike factory head bolts that can stretch under the extreme cylinder pressures found in performance-tuned or high-boost Cummins engines, these studs provide significantly higher clamping force and tensile strength. This ensures a more reliable seal between the cylinder head and the block, even under demanding towing or racing conditions.
This kit is engineered to replace the factory head bolts without modifications. The studs are manufactured to exacting tolerances and heat-treated for maximum durability.
