The ARP 271-4701 Cylinder Head Stud Kit is an essential upgrade for high-performance Hayabusa builds, particularly those utilizing increased compression, turbochargers, or nitrous oxide. These studs replace the factory head bolts, which are prone to stretching under high cylinder pressures, leading to head gasket failure and coolant leaks.
Manufactured from premium 8740 chrome moly steel, these studs are heat-treated to a 200,000 psi tensile strength rating. To ensure maximum fatigue life and concentricity, the studs are centerless ground and the threads are rolled after the heat-treating process. This precision manufacturing ensures consistent clamping force across the cylinder head for a superior seal.
