The ARP 208-4701 Head Stud Kit is an essential upgrade for any high-performance Honda K-series engine. Standard head bolts are designed to stretch, which can lead to head gasket failure under the increased cylinder pressures found in high-compression or turbocharged builds. ARP studs provide superior clamping force and consistent torque loading to ensure a reliable seal between the cylinder head and engine block.
These studs are manufactured from 8740 chrome moly steel and heat-treated to a 200,000 psi tensile strength rating. The threads are rolled after heat treatment, a process that significantly improves fatigue resistance compared to inferior fasteners. This kit is a direct replacement for OE hardware and is designed to withstand the rigors of both competitive racing and spirited street driving.
