The ARP 204-4705 head stud kit provides the superior clamping force required to prevent cylinder head lift and head gasket failure in high-performance Volkswagen VR6 engines. Unlike factory torque-to-yield (TTY) bolts that stretch during installation and must be discarded, these studs are manufactured to exacting tolerances and are designed for reuse and extreme reliability.
This kit features an undercut design, which equalizes the stretch of the stud to ensure more consistent loading across the cylinder head. The included 12-point nuts offer a reduced profile for easier socket access in the tight confines of the VR6 head. Whether you are performing a standard refresh or building a forced-induction setup, these studs are a critical upgrade for maintaining combustion chamber integrity.
