The DEI Form-A-Barrier (MPN 11002) is a lightweight, rigid thermal solution designed to protect sensitive components from radiant heat. This 3/16-inch thick shield features reflective material on both sides and provides a formable barrier that can be bent or shaped by hand to fit complex contours around firewalls, engine bays, and vehicle interiors.
When installed with a minimum 1-inch air gap from the heat source, the Form-A-Barrier offers effective thermal protection for temperatures up to 1300°F. The material is resistant to most common automotive chemicals and is designed to be mechanically fastened using pins, screws, or bolts. Please note: this product must not be applied directly to exhaust components.
