The DEI Titanium Pipe Shield (10451) provides critical spot thermal protection for exhaust systems, shielding sensitive electrical components, hoses, and body panels from damaging radiant heat. Unlike traditional Mylar-backed fiberglass shields that can fail or flake at 900°F, this Titanium series shield utilizes proprietary LR fiber technology to withstand continuous temperatures up to 1350°F.
The shield features a two-ply construction: a rugged outer layer of woven pulverized lava rock (basalt) and an inner layer of 89% silica fabric. This combination, paired with DEI’s unique standoff bracket design, creates a cooling air gap between the pipe and the shield for maximum heat dissipation. It is an ideal solution for isolating heat near transmissions, fuel tanks, and brake lines in automotive, marine, and powersports applications.
